Good afternoon,
I just downloaded unity Editor for the first time, and I was hoping to jump in with some tutorials, but I ran up against a snag pretty much right away, in that the editor crashes a few moments after I load or create a new 3D project. 2D seems to be fine.
I decided it was about time I did a fresh install of Windows anyway, since I'd been having a lot of small issues since I upgraded to 10 from 7, and most of the forum posts I saw about issues similar to this were caused by interference from other programs running. So after resetting my computer, doing a whole fresh install and everything, the first thing I did, right away, was to install Unity. Unfortunately, the issue persists.
I've tried uninstalling, installing the 32 Bit version, uninstalling that, deleting the registry from my program files, and reinstalling. Nothing I can think of seems to resolve this issue.
At one point, when I caught it, I saw an error message in the bottom left, "failed expression[...I didn't catch it all]" right before the screen closed, if that helps at all. I can also dig out the dump files and error logs if that would help.
Thanks in advance.
