Crash w/o showing it in log

I got a problem which I'm finding really hard to debug. Unity crashes both when building and in editor but there is nothing in the logs. It happens when I load a new scene in game and it just shuts down. I think I've narrowed it down to one game object because the scene loads fine if it's deactivated or deleted. I've tried running with error pause and smash in a lot of Debug.LogError to try and through the code but it still manages to shutdown. I've delete the library folder and rebuilt it but I'm running out of ideas of what to do. I'm currently using Unity 3.5.7
